Windows Install Guide

WiFi Monitor for Windows is a native app with live charts, one-click capture, and automatic updates. Requires Windows 10 or later. No Python or Git needed.

1 Download

Download the installer.

Download Installer
2 Install

Run WiFiMonitor-setup.exe. Windows may show a SmartScreen warning the first time:

Click "More info", then click "Run anyway" to proceed with the installation. The app will install and launch automatically.

No "Run anyway" button? Some Windows configurations block the option. Instead: right-click WiFiMonitor-setup.exe in your Downloads folder, select Properties, check "Unblock" at the bottom of the General tab, click Apply, then double-click the installer to run it normally.
Why the warning? WiFi Monitor is not yet signed with an Extended Validation certificate. The app is safe to install — the source code is available on GitHub.
3 First run

Enter a location and network name, then start your first capture. WiFi Monitor will begin measuring latency, throughput, DNS, and more with live charts updating in real time.

Captures are saved to Documents\WiFi Monitor\captures\.

What's Included

Updates are automatic. After the initial install, WiFi Monitor checks for updates on launch and installs them in the background.
Prefer the command line? WiFi Monitor is also available as a Python CLI tool for Windows, macOS, and Linux. See the CLI install guide.
