iOS Install Guide

WiFi Monitor for iPhone and iPad is distributed via Apple TestFlight — Apple's official platform for beta testing apps. Requires iOS 17.0 or later.

1 Install TestFlight

TestFlight is Apple's free app for installing beta apps. If you don't already have it, download it from the App Store.

Get TestFlight

Most iPhones already have TestFlight installed. Check your App Library before downloading.

2 Accept the invite

On your iPhone or iPad, tap the link below. It will open TestFlight and show the WiFi Monitor invite.

Open in TestFlight

Tap Accept on the invite, then tap Install to download WiFi Monitor.

Viewing this on a computer? Open this page on your iPhone instead, or type the link directly on your phone:

3 Start a capture

Open WiFi Monitor from your home screen. Choose a capture duration (Quick, Standard, or Extended) and tap Start Capture.

Results upload automatically and appear at howismywifi.com.

Updates are automatic. TestFlight installs new versions in the background. You'll get a notification when an update is available.

Troubleshooting

I see "Ready To Test" instead of the app invite

This means TestFlight opened but didn't receive the invite link. Go back to Safari, then tap the Open in TestFlight button above again. Make sure you're tapping the link, not opening the TestFlight app directly.

The link opens a web page instead of TestFlight

Make sure TestFlight is installed (Step 1). If it is, try copying the link and pasting it into Safari — some apps (Slack, Teams) use built-in browsers that don't support TestFlight links.

"This beta is full"

The testing group has reached its capacity. Contact us on #howismywifi in Slack and we'll increase the limit.
